Auto Text Overview
During your efforts it's crucial to stay in touch with those not home during while door knocking or who have already taken the survey. Sending a follow up text message can inform the former about the visit, allowing continued communication or alternative input, and ensure all targets are contacted in some form. Sending follow-up texts and expressing gratitude to participants can enhance engagement, boost response rates, and keep everyone informed.
How to Activate Auto Text
To create a walk survey, navigate to the settings page. On the right-hand side, you will find an option to enable follow up texts:
Once enabled a dropdown menu will appear to select a saved text action or create a new one:
Select "Add a new Survey Text Action" and a page similar to the text creation page will come up where you can create a text action. From here you can create separate texts for targets that were not home and for targets that completed the survey. You can also choose between SMS and MMS.

Once this page is complete, click "Next: Set Tags and Responses". On the next page you can add any tags or auto responses you would like to set and then select "Publish".
Now, when a target is designated as Completed or Not Home in the walk survey, the system will automatically send the pre-selected text message!
